Punjabi Singer Guru Randhawa wins people’s hearts with his singing and songs. Now he is soon going to make fans crazy about his acting. Now Guru Randhawa will try his hand in acting also. He will soon be seen in the pan India film ‘Shahkot’. In the film, Guru will be seen playing the role of Iqbal Singh, a passionate Punjabi youth who resolves to go abroad to fulfill his dreams.
Rajiv Dhingra, known for films like ‘Love Punjab’ and ‘Firangi’, has come on board to direct this film. Excited about ‘Shahkot’, Rajeev Dhingra said, “We are trying to make a film that will not only entertain but will also be liked by the audience globally. This is a story that speaks to the heart. It also explores the eternal dilemma of love versus duty.
Guru Randhawa also shared his look from the film on Instagram. While sharing the post, he wrote in the caption, ‘Join the fascinating journey of the film ‘Shahkot’, a cinematic odyssey that explores the universal dilemma of love and duty.’ The film ‘Shahkot’ will be released in theaters on February 9, 2024.
Guru Randhawa will also lend his mesmerizing voice to some songs of the film under the T-Series banner, which will be the grand music for this romantic story. Apart from Guru Randhawa, the cast of the film also includes Isha Talwar, who is known for her popularity in South India. She will be seen playing the role of Guru’s love interest. In the film, Gurshabad Singh plays the role of Iqbal’s trusted confidant and Punjabi actor Hardeep Gill plays the role of a corrupt police officer.
