Manoj Bajpayee’s Ek Banda Kaafi Released In Theaters After OTT

Read Time:2 Minute, 43 Second

Bollywood Actor Manoj Bajpayee has become the first Hindi artist whose film first appeared on OTT. It is released in theaters in just the next week. According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, ‘This will probably be the first film that has come to theaters after OTT. However, it is releasing in select cities of the country. Also, it has not been released in four national multiplexes which have more screens. That is because they have a policy that the film should be released here first. After a gap of a few weeks, the film should be brought on OTT. But here the situation is opposite. ,

The film’s producer Vinod Bhanushali and creative director Suparn S Verma said, ‘At present it has been released on 20 to 30 screens. We will increase the screen count after seeing the response of people in theatres. As for the question of developing the film as a franchise, it is too early to say at this point of time. But we are not even ruling it out. New stories are being sought. ,

Film’s writer Deepak Kingrani also had a special conversation with Bhaskar. He answered important questions. Here are the key excerpts:- Deepak said- This film is on those babas who do wrong things in the guise of religion. Today there are many Babas in India who are in jail on such charges and are also outside the jail.

No such planning has been done as of now. This is also because these are very controversial things. We are also fathers of children and go out of the house for work. In such a situation, we are also worried about the safety of our life and family. The message behind making this film was that we can explain the POCSO Act properly to the people.

‘We wanted to keep the film positive. The writer of every film has both sides of the story. He can pick up the negative aspect if he wants and the positive if he wants. We didn’t want to tarnish anyone’s image in the film. We were talking about facts. Wanted to show positivity. Only one person is enough, the film is the story of a lawyer who did not allow Baba to get bail. The good work of Jodhpur Police and Delhi Police is shown in the film. We wanted to show the positive side of the story. People’s sentiments could also be hurt by Baba’s debate. The hero of the film was lawyer Solanki. He was our center.

We did not want to bring any political angle in the film. Positivity was the only purpose of making this film. In this case, we have focused only on those who have done a good job. We have shown that a girl lodged a complaint against such a big Baba, the police registered the complaint of the girl with the right clauses. We have shown that the courts and judges acted with integrity. A normal lawyer did the right thing. The police also kept their back tight on this case. We have shown all these positive aspects in the film. Deepak said that we kept politics away from the film and I don’t even know the politics behind this case more than the film.
