Bollywood Actress Aishwarya Rai’s film Ponniyan Selvan 2 has collected Rs 300 crores worldwide at the box-office in less than a month. Giving information about the earnings of filmmaker Mani Ratnam’s film, the banner Lyca Production tweeted. He wrote – PS-2 is performing well at the box-office. The film has earned more than Rs 300 crores.
Ponniyan Selvan 2 is a sequel to the 2022 film Ponniyan Selvan. The film is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel Ponniyin Selvan. The film was based on three parts of Ponniyan Selvan Kalki Krishnamurthy’s novel. Whereas, Ponniyan Selvan 2 is based on the remaining two parts.
Aishwarya-Vikram is sharing the screen for the third time with this film. Aishwarya-Vikram’s duo in the film Raavan, released in 2010, was well received by the critics. Actors like Aishwarya Rai, Vikram, Trisha, Jairam Ravi, Karthi, Aishwarya Lakshmi, Sobhita Dhulipal, Prakash Raj, Jayam, Prabhu, R Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Vikram Prabhu have taken forward the story of Chola Empire in the film. Actor Kamal Haasan has narrated the film. AR Rahman has given music to the film. The film is jointly produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies and Subaskaran’s Lyca Productions.
