Bollywood Actor Sunny Deol is constantly in the news about his upcoming films. After Lahore 1947 with Aamir Khan and an untitled film with the makers of Pushpa, a big update has come out on her another film. This film is ‘Border-2’ which has been discussed for a long time. If media reports and sources related to the film are to be believed, Sunny Deol will get Rs 50 crore as fees for this film. Not only this, Sunny will also share profits with the producers of this film. Directors JP Dutta and Bhushan Kumar will jointly produce this film.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, a source associated with the film said that Sunny will take an upfront fee of Rs 50 crore for the film. Apart from this, a back-end deal will also be made with them in which the producers will share profits with them. People associated with the film believe that Sunny’s presence will take the film to new heights. The producers are very happy with this deal with Sunny.
Earlier in an interview given to YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, when Sunny was asked about this film, he had said, ‘I have heard that work is being done on this film. Actually, we were going to do it much earlier. I think in 2015… but at that time none of my films performed well, so people got scared and did not want to make this film.
There is talk about Border 2 that JP Dutta will direct it. Apart from Sunny, actors like Ayushmann Khurrana, Ammy Virk and Ahan Shetty can also be seen in the film. The shooting of the film will start in the second half of 2024. This time too its story will be based on India-Pakistan war.
Border, released in 1997, proved to be a big hit at the box office. The film won many awards including 4 National Film Awards. It was based on the Indo-Pak war of 1971. Many big actors including Sunny Deol, Jackie Shroff, Sunil Shetty, Akshay Khanna, Pooja Bhatt and Tabu were seen in the film. Apart from Border, Sunny has also done patriotic films like Gadar, The Hero, Maa Tujhe Salaam and Gadar-2. All these films have performed well.
