Bollywood King Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathan destroyed all the records of earnings. The film has created history by collecting more than 1050 crores worldwide. Now according to a latest report, Shah Rukh did not charge even a single rupee for this film.
Usually it is seen that actors take their fixed fees after signing the film, but Shahrukh did not do so. Shahrukh had taken 60% share in the film’s earnings without taking fees. Accordingly, he earned around Rs 200 crore from Pathan.
According to the report of Bollywood Hungama, Pathan has collected Rs 545 crore in India alone. While in Overseas, the film earned 396.02 crores. Accordingly, the total earning of the film has crossed 1050 crores. Out of this, Indian distributors got Rs 245 crore and foreign distributors got Rs 178 crore.
If the digital and media rights of the film are added, then 180 crores are made like this. Overall, Yash Raj Films, the production company that made the film, made a profit of Rs 333 crore. Shahrukh did not take any amount after signing the film. We often see that actors go to the side by taking their fees before doing any film. Now it doesn’t matter to them how much the film is earning. Although Shahrukh did not do the same with Pathan.
Shah Rukh Khan was missing from the big screen for the last four years. In these four years, he did cameos in many films but none of his solo films were released. Shahrukh’s fans had a lot of expectations from Pathan, it meant a lot for Shahrukh himself. When the film released, it started creating records from the very first day itself.
It even broke the 6 year old record of Baahubali 2 in just 38 days. The Hindi version of Bahubali 2 had a lifetime collection of 510.90 crores. Baahubali 2 was the first film to enter the 500 crore club. Now it is not easy for any film to break the record made by Pathan (545 crores).
