The powerful trailer of Millie Bobby Brown’s Netflix film ‘Damsel’ has been released. In the film, the actress plays the role of Elodie and is dreaming of spending her life with the prince of her dreams, but something happens which takes a terrible turn in her life. Actually, she is a beautiful princess who happens to be the daughter-in-law of a royal family, but she is used by the family to get rid of an old curse.
The trailer depicts a fantasy world where Elodie is set to marry the prince of an imperial kingdom, but the marriage is merely a scam that hides the sinister practice. Elodie is sacrificed by the royal family to break an old curse. He is thrown into a cave, where a fire-breathing dragon is waiting to swallow him. Elodie discovers that she is not the first to fall into this scam and she fights to survive for all the souls.
The film’s official logline reads, ‘A dutiful young woman agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to discover that the royal family has adopted her as a sacrifice to repay an ancient debt. Thrown into a cave with a fire-breathing dragon, she must rely on her wits and willpower to survive. Will she overcome the obstacles? Will she be victorious or will she succumb to the darkness spread around her? To know the answer we will have to wait till the release date of the film.
Talking about the film, in ‘Damsel’ directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo, apart from Millie Bobby Brown, Ray Winstone, Nick Robinson, Shohreh Aghdashloo are also in the lead roles along with Angela Bassett and Robin Wright. The film is set to release on Netflix on March 8.
