The telecast of the religious serial ‘Ramayana’ will start on Doordarshan from Saturday (March 28) amid the lockdown released in the country. On completion of 33 years of its telecast, its lead actors recently reached ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’. The producer-director of the serial was with him. Ramanand Sagar’s son Prem Sagar also joined the show.
During the show, Prem Sagar told Kapil about his father Ramanand Sahab, “If you will see the name of this book -” An epic like of Ramanand Sagar from rainy to Ramayana.”
‘In 1949, the first film of Papaji (Ramanand Sagar) was Barsaat. Nobody thought that a man who worked as a peon, sold soap on the street, became a journalist and an accountant. That man can one day make a Ramayana.
The show was also attended by Ramanand Sagar’s grandson and Prem Sagar’s son Shiv Sagar, who researched a book written on his grandfather’s life and work. When Kapil asked him to tell him something about the book, Shiva said that ‘It took us three years to write this book. I researched this book and Papa wrote it. In this, we have told about many old photos related to grandfather and many important documents related to him.
