Gangster Vikas Dubey was the main accused in the Bikeru murder case who died in an encounter with Kanpur STF on Friday morning. The encounter took place at a place called Bhouti, just 17 km from Kanpur. The encounter in Kanpur took place between 6.15 and 6.30 in the morning. On the night of 2 and 3 July, Vikas and his gang attacked the police in Bikaru village. 8 policemen died in it.
According to reports, the vehicle had three STF personnel in addition to the driver. It was raining in Bhouti area in Kanpur at the time of the incident. The rain was mild. So, due to the mud on the narrow road, the speeding vehicle overturned. Vikas was sitting in the middle on the back seat. There were STF men on both sides. Vikas tried to run away when the train overturned. A policeman ran away with a 9 mm pistol. Shot back. In retaliatory firing of STF, three bullets hit his chest and one on his arm.
According to reports, 4 STF personnel have also been injured in this incident. Two of these vehicles were injured in the overturning, while two others were injured in the firing by Vikas. It is said that Vikas Dubey was alive before reaching Hallet Hospital. However, his condition was very critical. He succumbed shortly. At the time of the incident, Vikas was wearing the same blue striped full T-shirt and lower which he had seen when he was arrested in Ujjain on Thursday.
