Bollywood Superstar Salman Khan has got a big relief from the Bombay High Court. A case filed against Salman has been dismissed by the court. In 2019, the Andheri Magistrate Court had summoned him on charges of misbehavior with the journalist. Salman had moved the High Court against this summons. Now after four years the decision has come on this. The single bench of Justice Bharti Dangre has dismissed the entire case accepting the complaint of Salman and his bodyguard Nawaz Shaikh.
The matter is four years old. Salman often goes out on the streets of Mumbai for cycling. Personal bodyguards also run behind them. On April 24, 2019, while he was cycling, journalist Ashok Pandey tried to shoot his video. According to journalist Ashok Pandey, Salman and his bodyguards snatched his phone and started assaulting him. Ashok said that Salman had also assaulted him.
Ashok Pandey had reached the police station with his complaint. There the police refused to take his complaint saying that it was not a crime. Then Ashok turned to the court. He placed his problem before the Andheri magistrate. Later, a case was registered against Salman under sections 504 and 506 of the IPC.
On March 22, 2022, the Andheri Magistrate Court sent summons to Salman Khan. He was given a date of 5 April 2022 to appear. However, Salman filed a petition in the Bombay High Court against this summon without appearing.
Now after four years the decision has come in this matter. During the last hearing, Justice Bharti Dangre said, ‘Everyone has his own privacy. Be it a film actor or a journalist. None of them is above the law. Everyone has to follow the law.
Salman Khan is always stuck in some or the other trouble. He has also gone to jail many times. He was once sentenced to 5 years for hunting a blackbuck. In fact, in 1998, during the shooting of the film ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’, Salman had hunted blackbuck in the forests of Rajasthan.
