Read Time:1 Minute, 19 Second

The trailer of director Rajkumar Santoshi’s upcoming film Gandhi Godse Ek Yuddh has been released on January 11. The film has been mired in controversies ever since the trailer came out. People associated with Congress had demanded a ban on this film in Madhya Pradesh. Amidst the controversy, Mahatma Gandhi’s great-grandson Tushar Gandhi has given his reaction on the film. In an interview given to the media, he said that he would never want to see such a film, in which the glory of a murderer has been told.

During a conversation with Indian Express, Tushar said- I am not surprised because Godse is a hero for him. If they project Godse as a hero, then it is not surprising. But I cannot say anything on the merits or demerits of the film, as I have not seen the film. I don’t intend to watch movies that glorify killers.

Tushar Gandhi further says- This is a very well thought out game plan. Makers have given their roles to all the characters, which the actors have played on the big screen. The same director has presented Bapu in a very wrong way in his film Bhagat Singh. So it is not surprising that he would make a film glorifying Godse.

Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh is releasing in theaters on January 26 on the occasion of Republic Day. The film is going to compete with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan at the box office. Please tell that Pathan will be released on January 25. This is the reason why there is even more hype about the film.
