South’s popular director SS Rajamouli has announced the second part of the film at the success party of ‘RRR’ in Mumbai on 6 April (Wednesday). During the media interaction during the success party of the Hindi version of the film, Rajamouli has said that he will now make a sequel to the film. Apart from Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan Teja have also expressed their desire for the sequel of the film.
Talking about the sequel SS Rajamouli said, “We made ‘RRR’ in 2020 and now it is going on 2022. I am still trying to keep myself cool from the heat created by ‘RRR’. First Let things cool down. It would be a great pleasure for me to make a sequel.”
Rajamouli further added, “Not just because of what ‘RRR’ will do at the box office, but I will get even more time to spend with my two brothers Ram Charan and Jr NTR. It will be even more exciting for me. But, let the time pass and let’s see what happens next.”
On the sequel, Jr NTR said, “Rajamouli sir needs to be made ‘RRR-2’. This story needs to be concluded. I was talking to someone earlier today and I don’t know why I said that, but I said ‘RRR’ is a franchise. Hope those words come true.”
On the sequel soon after Jr NTR, Ram Charan said, “NTR let the release of ‘RRR’ finish first, then think about the sequel. Of course, we all would be happy to work together again, if Rajamouli sir Thinking of making ‘RRR-2’. I hope your wish will be fulfilled brother.”
Apart from Ram Charan-Jr NTR, the film, which released on March 24, also stars Ajay Devgn, Alia Bhatt Samuthirakani, Olivia Morris, Alison Doody and Ray Stevenson in lead roles. Made in a budget of 550 crores, the film has so far collected a worldwide box office collection of Rs 939.41 crores. At the same time, the Hindi version of the film has also earned around Rs 200 crore. Not only this, the film has also made many historical records at the box office so far.
