Dalbir Kaur, sister of Sarabjit Singh, who was imprisoned in a Pakistani jail on charges of espionage and killed there, died of a heart attack on Saturday night. She was 60 years old. Her last rites were performed at village Bhikhiwind in Tarn Taran town of Punjab.
On hearing the news of Dalbir’s death, actor Randeep Hooda immediately left everything and left for Mumbai and attended her funeral. Randeep shouldered and lit the body of Dalbir Kaur. Not only this, Randeep also consoled Dalbir’s family. Many of whose photos and videos are viral on social media.
Sarabjit Singh’s biopic was released in the year 2016. Which was titled ‘Sarbjit’, in this film Randeep played the role of Sarabjit Singh. In this film, the character of Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur was played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Impressed by his acting in this film, Dalbir considered Randeep as his brother. Both used to share very good bonds.
Let us inform that Dalbir Kaur was also present at the trailer launch of the film and she got emotional seeing Randeep in the role of Sarabjit. That’s when she had taken a promise from Randeep Hooda that he would shoulder his meaning. Dalbir Kaur had said, “I want to tell Randeep that I have seen my brother Sarabjit in him. I have one wish. I would like to take a promise from Randeep that he will give me a shoulder when I die. Thinking of this my soul Shanti Milegi that brother gave me shoulder. I am very happy that I got my brother Randeep. He is not only the hero but also my brother in the film.”
When the film ‘Sarbjit’ came 5 years ago, Dalbir Kaur, the sister of Sarabjit Singh, who was martyred in Pakistan’s jail, took this promise from Randeep Hooda. Now when Dalbir Kaur passed away after 5 years, Randeep Hooda kept the promise made to her.
According to reports, when Dalbir Kaur complained of chest pain on Saturday night, she was immediately admitted to a nearby private hospital by her family members. But his health kept deteriorating and he breathed his last on Sunday morning.
