Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, who has made films like ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’ as a director-producer, was recently admitted to a private hospital in Mumbai where he underwent angioplasty after a heart attack. Giving this information, Kashyap’s spokesperson told an English news website, “Yes, he has undergone angioplasty and is now recovering. Thank you for worrying about him.”
According to reports quoting sources close to Kashyap, there was a slight pain in his chest last week. After this he went to the hospital for checkup. During this time, when his angiography was done, some blockages were seen in the heart. Then after the advice of the doctor, he immediately decided to be admitted for surgery. Doctors have advised Kashyap to rest for a few weeks.
Talking about the workfront, Anurag’s previous film ‘AK Versus AK’ was released on Netflix on 24 December 2020, directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. His next film is ‘Dobara’, which he completed shooting in March. Taapsee Pannu starrer is also Anurag, the director of this film. Post production of the film is currently underway.
