Madhavan’s father Ranganathan was a management executive in Tata Steel and mother Saroja is a manager in Bank of India. He also has a younger sister named Devika. Devika is a software engineer and is settled in UK. In 1999, the love marriage to Sarita Birje, who was an airhostess. Madhavan and Sarita have a son named Vedant Madhavan.
