Akshay Reduced His Fees After ‘Bachchan Pandey’ Flopped

Bollywood Khiladi Akshay Kumar is included in the list of highest paid actors in Bollywood. Akshay charges around Rs 100 to 110 crores for a film. According to the recent reports, Akshay has reduced the fees for his upcoming projects after the flop of ‘Bachchan Pandey’.

According to media reports, the actor has decided to cut fees for his upcoming projects. He did this after the flop of his last film ‘Bachchan Pandey’. However, the actor is not reducing the fees for all his projects. Actors have agreed to reduce their fees only for low and medium budget films. For projects like ‘Selfie’ and ‘Surarai Potru’ remake, Akshay will charge less than 100 crores as his fee.

Akshay Kumar’s last release film ‘Bachchan Pandey’ was made in a budget of 180 crores. According to reports, the budget of the film was increased due to Akshay’s fees, as he had taken more than 100 crores for the film alone. The film was able to collect only 50 crores at the box office after its release. Not only ‘Bachchan Pandey’ but the budget of films like ‘Bellbottom’ also increased due to the high salary of the actor.

Bachchan Pandey was released on 18 March 2022 on Holi. Apart from Akshay Kumar, the film also starred Kriti Sanon, Arshad Warsi and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead roles. The film was directed by Farhad Samji. Talking about Akshay Kumar’s workfront, he will soon be seen in the films ‘Prithviraj’, ‘Raksha Bandhan’, ‘Ram Setu’ and ‘Oh My God 2’. He has recently finished shooting for the film ‘Ram Setu’.
