Bollywood Actor Aamir Khan recently made a disclosure during the Telugu trailer launch of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’. The actor said that the delay in the post production of the film was nothing less than a boon for ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’, as if it was not for the film, the film would clash with the blockbuster ‘KGF 2’. At the same time, Aamir said that ‘KGF 2’ was so crazy among the people that his film would have flopped.
Aamir said, “I remember when KGF 2 was about to release, there was a lot of excitement among the Hindi audience about it. Even my friend had a big craze for KGF 2. Lal Singh Chaddha is also going to release on the same day. But luckily Red Chillies took a little longer for VFX, due to which we survived. Otherwise our film would have come out with KGF 2 too.”
Aamir further said, “KGF 2 is a Kannada film, Pushpa, Baahubali and RRR are all Telugu films. All these films have won the hearts of people all over India even after being from South. I am happy to see this. That cinema originating from one state of India has entertained the people of the entire country so much. It is a matter of celebration for us.”
The release of ‘Lal Singh Chaddha’ was postponed due to non-completion of VFX. Let me tell you, KGF 2 created panic at the box office with an opening of more than 53 crores. The film was one of the biggest hits of Indian cinema in 2022. The film, directed by Prashanth Neel, had a lifetime domestic collection of Rs 434 crore.
Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi remake of Tom Hank starrer Hollywood film Forrest Gump. Apart from Aamir, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Mona Singh and Naga Chaitanya are also in lead roles in this film. Earlier, Aamir’s film was supposed to release with Yash starrer KGF 2, but due to post-production, its release date was postponed. The film will now release in cinemas on August 11.
