Adipurush has done a domestic box office collection of Rs 5.50 crore on Thursday, the seventh day of its release. In this, 2.50 crore rupees have come from the Hindi version. If you look at the collection of Hindi version only, the film earned Rs 129.75 crore in the first week.
By combining all languages, the film has done a business of Rs 260.55 crore so far. On the other hand, talking about the worldwide collection, the film has earned Rs 420 crores in 7 days.
However, according to the budget of the film, its collection cannot be said to be better than anywhere. Made in about Rs 600-650 crores, the film had a bumper opening at the box office, but due to the negative response, the film’s collection went down drastically.
There are only a few Hindi films this year, which have collected more than 100 crores. Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan created history and collected more than Rs 500 crore. Adipurush is at number two in this list with a collection of 260.55 crores. The Kerala Story is at number three with 241.95 crores. At the same time, Ranbir Kapoor’s Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar is at number four with a lifetime collection of Rs 147.28 crore. At the fifth position is Salman Khan’s film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan (109.29 crores).
On Wednesday, the makers of the film have reduced the ticket rates slightly. Makers estimate that this may lead to an increase in earnings. Keeping this in mind, the controversial dialogues of the film have also been changed. However, this did not increase the film’s earnings a bit. Theaters are still empty. Trade pundits claim that these changes will not see any significant increase in the film’s earnings.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Bihar based exhibitor Vishek Chauhan said – People have rejected the film. If people had liked it, it would have been a historical film. There are many flaws in the film. Even after changing some dialogues, there will be no significant effect.
The profits that the makers were expecting from the film, it is not looking possible now. However, one thing is confirmed that the film will definitely recover its cost. The reason for this is that even before the release, the satellite rights and OTT rights of the film have been sold in crores.
