3 Trains Collide In Odisha, 238 Killed

238 people died in a train accident in Odisha’s Balasore on Friday evening. More than 900 passengers were injured in the accident. According to the Railways, 650 people have been admitted to the hospital. The accident took place near Bahanga Bazar station in Balasore at around 7 pm.

According to the Railways, the Kolkata-Chennai Coromandel Express and Yesvantpur-Howrah Express derailed near Bahanga station. After this, the Coromandel Express train collided with a goods train standing on the nearby track.

हादसे के बाद स्थानीय लोग मौके पर पहुंचे और सीढ़ी लगाकर ट्रेन में फंसे लोगों को बाहर निकालना शुरू किया।

Railway officials told that earlier the Yesvantpur-Howrah Express was derailed. Some of its coaches overturned on another track and collided with the Shalimar-Chennai Coromandel Express coming from the other side. After this, some bogies of the Coromandel train also got derailed. These bogies collided with the goods train on another track. Some bogies climbed on top of the goods train.
