Kamal Hassan Starrer Vikram Earned 200 Crores Before Its Release

These days Bollywood vs South is going on in the film industry. On one hand, while Bollywood films are getting beaten badly at the box office, the craze of South films is still going on. After Valimai, RRR and KGF-2, now Kamal Haasan’s Vikram has also become a hit among the people even before its release. This Kamal’s film has already done a business of 204 crores before its release. The total budget of the film is 150 crores.

In this sense, the film has earned a profit of more than 54 crores even before its release. According to trade pundits, this is the first film in Kamal’s career that has done so much business in the pre-release. Vikram has been directed by Lokesh Kangraj. South’s films are earning crores in advance itself, Vikram has also continued this trend.

So far this year in Bollywood, Bachchan Pandey, Jhund, Attack, Gangubai Kathiawadi, Dhaakad, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Bhool Bhulaiya 2 have been released. But out of these, only Gangubai Kathiawadi and Bhool Bhulaiyaa have crossed the 100 crore club. Rest of the movies have been ineffective at the box office.

On the other hand, Kangana’s Dhaakad has proved to be a disaster of this year at the box office. The budget of this film was between 80 to 90 crores, but till now it has not been able to earn even 3 crores. On the 8th day of its release, only 20 tickets were sold for the film. In contrast, South’s films are earning more than Rs.

Kamal’s film Vikram is a high octane action thriller film. Ramesh Bala, Trade Analyst and Tracker of South Industry has given information about the pre-release business of the film. He told that Vikram is Kamal Haasan’s highest pre-release business film. The film has earned more than 200 crores from OTT rights along with satellite rights.

Kamal Haasan’s film Vikram will hit the theaters on June 3. Apart from Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi, Shivani Narayan, Fahad Faasil will also be seen playing important roles in this film. At the same time, Surya will also be seen in a cameo. Vikram has been directed by Lokesh Kangraj. Kamal is returning to the big screen after four years with this film.

Kamal further said, We have always been making Pan India films. It depends on how good our film is. That’s why it is liked all over the country. Chemmai is a Malayalam film, that too was a Pan India film, though it was not dubbed in any other language. It didn’t even have any sub titles, yet people enjoyed it. Along with this, on the language dispute, he said that the Taj Mahal is mine and the Madurai temple is yours. As much as Kanyakumari is yours, Kashmir is as much mine.
