Bollywood actor Aamir Khan was questioned on the increasing popularity of South Indian films. During this, he mentioned the incident when Shah Rukh Khan saved his film Lal Singh Chadha from clashing with KGF 2.

Aamir said that Shahrukh Khan’s Red Chillies company was delaying the VFX making of Lal Singh Chadha, but it helped that the film was saved from clashing with KGF 2. According to Aamir, there was tremendous excitement about KGF 2 among Hindi audiences, so it was good that his film released later.

Aamir said these things at the launch of the Telugu trailer of Lal Singh Chaddha. When asked about the comparison between Bollywood and South films, he praised films like Pushpa, Bahubali and RRR. Aamir said that it is really heartening to see that great content is now being seen from every part of the country.

Aamir said, ‘I remember when KGF 2 was about to release, there was tremendous excitement about the film among some of my old friends and the Hindi audience. Laal Singh Chaddha was also scheduled to release on the same day, but we were fortunate that Red Chillies Entertainment was taking some time on the VFX of the film, so we were spared otherwise our film would have released along with KGF 2.’

Let us inform that the VFX work of Lal Singh Chadha was seen by Shahrukh Khan’s company Red Chillies. The collaboration between Red Chillies and Lal Singh Chadha was announced by Shah Rukh himself through his social media. Red Chillies has a visual effects studio that deals with VFX in films.

Shahrukh entered the world of visual effects in 2006 to further his film business. He opened a highly advanced VFX studio in Mumbai. This VFX studio has given Bollywood films like Chak De India, Ra.One, Krrish 3, Phillauri and Zero.

However, even after the single release of Lal Singh Chadha, the audience did not like it. This film proved to be a huge flop at the box office. The film was the official Hindi remake of the 1994 Hollywood film Forrest Gump.

Made in about 180 crores, this film earned only 130 crores at the worldwide box office. Apart from Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya and Mona Singh also played important roles in the film.
