Criminal Vikas Dubey who killed 8 policemen including CO in Bikaru village of Kanpur, was killed in an encounter on Friday morning. The general public is justifying this along with the family of the policemen killed in the encounter.
All the anti-party parties are alleging that Vikas Dubey could expose many leaders, so he was killed. Experts are also questioning the encounter methods. The story of the police has its place, while experts are saying that under the process, only the case of murder will be registered.
Senior Supreme Court advocate Sanjay Parikh says that there is no word like an encounter in the law. It is a murder by law. There will be an FIR. People misunderstand that the police escapes by encountering them. There are tens of cases where policemen have been punished in fake encounters. Police is not allowed to kill anyone in the encounter. It is also treated like a murder.
The case will be registered and independent police officers will investigate. It will be clear in the investigation itself that the policemen have shot at the criminal under the right of self-defense or fake encounters. For now, it is too early to say anything in this matter. An encounter, right or throw, will be clear only after investigation.
At the same time, senior advocate Prashant Bhushan, who fought the encounter case in the Supreme Court, tweeted that this is a clear case of extra-judicial killing. Dubey was a gangster terrorist who probably should have died. But the UP police has apparently murdered him. If the Supreme Court does not take notice on this crime, it would mean that there is no rule of law in India.
