The makers of the ‘Tiger’ franchise have been waiting for the shooting of the film to resume for over a month now. However, as there is still no clarity on resuming the shoot, the makers have scrapped the sets of ‘Tiger 3’ in Mumbai. The shooting of many films including ‘Tiger 3’ has been halted in Mumbai due to Coronavirus and the lockdown.
According to sources, there is no clarity on when the shooting will start. Even if the government gives them the green light by mid-June, the studios are cautious about the way forward. He also said that ‘Tiger 3’ has a huge crew of around 300 people. The makers want everyone to be vaccinated before the team starts working. According to him, it was costing him a lot to maintain the sets before the shooting started. He realized that whenever he was ready to resume work, he would get the set rebuilt. They won’t have to suffer much because of this.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif started shooting for the film in March at a studio in Mumbai. However, the shooting was stopped after Katrina got infected with Corona. After this, seeing the increasing cases of coronavirus, the Maharashtra government imposed a lockdown, due to which the shooting of the film has been halted till now. At the same time, Cyclone Tau Te also caused heavy damage to the set of the film made in Mumbai. Now with the extension of Janata Curfew till June 15, the makers are eyeing when they will actually be able to resume shooting.
Apart from Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, ‘Tiger 3’ also stars Emraan Hashmi in the lead role. Emraan will be seen in the role of Pakistani ISI agent ‘Aatish’ in the film, who will be pitted against Salman’s character Tiger. It is being told that this role will be completely different from all the negative roles that Imran has played so far. Produced by Aditya Chopra, this film is being directed by Maneesh Sharma. The budget of the film is said to be around Rs 350 crore.
