Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming film ‘Jersey’ is going to release soon at the box office. The film was supposed to release in December last year, but due to the third wave of Corona, its release was put on hold. Now recently, during the promotion of the film, Shahid shared many things related to the film. At the same time, he also said that he is happy to see that people are going to the theaters again.
Shahid said, “Aman (producer) and I were keeping a close watch on Omicron (corona variant). We knew it was growing very fast. But we did not expect that things would change in such a short time. We decided to postpone the release of the film in view of the increasing case. We did not want this film to release at a time when all is not well. Now I think we have taken the right decision to go ahead with the film. ”
Shahid further said, “It’s good to see that people are going to the theaters again. I got many offers to release ‘Jersey’ on OTT, but we wanted to release it in theatres.” Let us tell you that recently many films have been released at the box office and all have earned well. These include ‘Gangubai’, ‘The Kashmir Files’ and ‘RRR’.
Directed by Gowtham Tinnuri, the film also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur in pivotal roles along with Shahid. Mrunal plays his wife in the film. Also Shahid’s father Pankaj Kapur is playing the role of a coach in the film. The film shows how a player quits cricket and returns to the field to buy his son’s jersey. The film will be released in theaters on April 14.
