Bollywood Actor Kartik Aaryan’s upcoming film ‘Dhamaka’ is an experimental film in terms of shoot, sound and special effects. The film was completed in just 10 days on the sets. It took four months for the edit table, VFX and sound creation. The film’s sound designer Manas Choudhary said, Now in the next 15 days, the final copy of the film will be given to Netflix. Four of the biggest post production companies in the industry were hired for its post production work. They were all working simultaneously. Two of them are of Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan. He also did VFX, special effects work.
Manas further said, ‘This film is such, where the sound effect is also in an important role. That is why it has been prepared by hiring four companies, giving such a large scale and more time. Green screen was used on the sets for ‘Worli Sea Link’. It could not have been shot on the live location. Then the collapsing of that bridge was recreated in the studio.
In the same way, the sounds of explosions in buildings were created in the graphics. From the collapse of concrete to the sound of water waves, the effects of the bridge falling alone were created. The metal bag was created in the studio.
At the set location, Kartik Aaryan, Amrita Subhash, Mrunal Thakur worked in the multicamera setup, 20 to 25 microphones were also installed there so that the sound could be captured in a realistic way. Shooting took less time, but it took more time for planning, that is because the camera used to roll continuously in the multicamera setup. His continuity could not be broken. With these preparations, the actors on the set shot the film in just 10 days. The single take of the actors in front of the camera was more.
Karthik Aryan is in the role of news anchor in the film. Amrita Subhash is his boss, while Mrinal Thakur plays a news reporter. Mrunal Thakur is busy shooting for ‘Pippa’ these days. Her South remake with Aditya Roy Kapur has been announced. In two days she is leaving for Punjab to shoot Pippa.
