Is Karan Johar Copy The Story Of “Jug Jug Jeeyo”

Filmmaker Karan Johar is in the news these days for his upcoming film ‘Jug Jug Jeeyo’. Now recently, two allegations have been made against Karan Johar regarding this film. In which it is said that Karan has stolen the story of the film and also a song.

Actually, a day before on May 22, the trailer of the film has been released. After watching the trailer, a user shared several posts on social media accusing the makers of ‘Jug Jug Jeeyo’ of stealing his story. At the same time, a Pakistani singer has also shared the post and talked about using his song in the film without his permission.

A social media user named Vishal A Singh shared the post accusing Karan of stealing his story and making his film. He wrote, “I had registered a story with the title ‘Bunny Rani’ with Screenwriters Association India in January 2020. I also officially mailed this story to Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions in February 2020. In the hope so that I can co-produce the film with him. He also replied to me. But, now he has taken my story. Taking my story, he made ‘Jug Jug Jeeyo’. This is not right Karan Johar.”

Vishal has also shared a screenshot of the mail sent to Karan Johar’s production house ‘Dharma Productions’ in 2020. The story of the film has also been told in the screenshot. Also in another post he wrote, “If the story is good, then talk, join hands. Make together. It doesn’t suit any reputed banner or any production house to do theft. If it happens with me.” If it can happen, it can happen to anyone in Hindi cinema.”

Apart from this, Pakistani singer Abrar-ul-Haq has also shared the post accusing Karan Johar of stealing his song. Abrar wrote, “I have not sold my song ‘Nach Punjaban’ to any Indian film. I have reserved the rights so that I can go to court for damages. Producers like Karan Johar should not copy songs. This is my 6th song.” Which is being copied. Which will not be allowed at all.”

Abrar-ul-Haq shared another post and wrote, “Nobody has been given license for the song Naach Punjaban. If anyone is claiming, then show the agreement. I will take legal action.” Abrar has also tagged Karan Johar and Dharma Productions in his post. If you listen to ‘Nach Punjaban’ and Abrar’s iconic song from the movie ‘Jug Jug Jio’, then both have a lot in common. From the tune of both the songs to the music, everything is the same. However, no statement has come out from the makers, Karan Johar and Dharma Productions on both the allegations so far.

Let us inform that Abrar’s song ‘Nach Punjaban’ came in the year 2000. This song was also a big hit at that time. Abrar is also a singer, songwriter and politician by profession. He has also got the title of King of Pakistani Pop. Apart from Varun-Kiara, ‘Jug Jug Jio’, directed by Raj Mehta, also stars Anil Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Prajakta Koli, Maniesh Paul and Tisca Chopra in lead roles. Karan Johar has produced the film. The film will be released in cinemas on 24 June 2022.
