After ‘Padman’ Akshay Kumar Again Turn To MP For ‘Oh My God 2’

Instead of UP, now MP has become a big bastion for the shooting of films. Before the lockdown, 22 films, web shows and serials were being shot there. Only half a dozen projects were being shot in UP. Now that gradually different districts of MP are getting unlocked, the shooting of films is being planned again there. The latest news is that Akshay Kumar is going to shoot ‘Oh My God 2′ in MP from September. MP Tourism officials said that it is more likely that the film will be shot in Ujjain.

Trade analysts said, “One is that this film is not a continuation of the previous part. This time the film will tell a different story. It is also clear that it will not be a courtroom drama. Also, as is the news in the market, Akshay Kumar will be doing this. Bar Vishnu will not be in avatar. He will be seen in some other god’s avatar. There is an issue of patriotism in the story. The previous part was from the perspective of Paresh Rawal’s character Kanji Bhai. This time it will be the story from the perspective of Pankaj Tripathi. He is the protagonist of the story. Will be the facilitator.”

Interestingly, this will be the second time after ’83’ that Pankaj Tripathi’s character will be the facilitator in the mega-budget film. In ’83’, he is in the role of Man Singh, the then manager of Team India. The story is told from Man Singh’s perspective. His character in ‘Oh My God 2’ will also take the story forward. One of the reasons for starting the shooting of the film from September itself is that before this Akshay Kumar does not have dates available for the next two months.

Sources from Akshay’s team told, “Akshay will complete the shooting of two films in these two months at bullet speed. Right now his first priority is ‘Ram Setu’. Around June 20, he will go for the shoot of ‘Ram Setu’. One of its sets is installed in the film city. There is also a set of the film ‘Rakshabandhan’ beside it. The set of ‘Rakshabandhan’ is currently being covered with a large shed so that the set does not remain open. There is no damage due to rain during monsoon. Yes. The makers of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ have not thought of demolishing the set. That’s because now permission has been given to shoot in Biobubble till 4 pm. Akshay is one of the early morning workers anyway. Under him, ‘Ram’ Shooting for ‘Setu’ and ‘Raksha Bandhan’ is underway.”
