Bollywood filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has called 31 December 2022 as Black Day. The reason for this is the closure of 3 big institutions associated with the film industry. Anurag has opposed the Ministry of Information and Broadcast while sharing the post on social media. In fact, in 2020, the IB (Ministry of Information and Broadcast) decided to merge the Film Division of India, National Film Archive of India and Directorate of India. After this decision, these three institutions will not remain independent. They have now been merged with the National Film Development Corporation ie NDFC.

Anurag wrote- ‘That’s all..this is the news.’ It is written in the post- ‘Today is black day Film Division of India (1948), National Film Archive of India (1964) and Directorate of India (1973) is closing from today.

A user wrote in the comment section – Actually the government is not shutting it down technically, but merging all the three institutions into NDFC, which is controlled by the government. This is sad, in fact today is a dark day.’

Another user wrote- ‘They want the artist and his freedom to end.’ Let us tell you that after this decision of the government, about 300 people have lost their jobs, not only this, the loss of people associated with film organizations due to this decision. Has happened.
